Intensive School Reform (ISR) is a SIG eligible transformation model to ensure success for low performing schools. Through regular on-site visits over 1-3 years, a HOPE Faculty Consultant helps you build effective school leadership teams and sustainable learning communities. A targeted professional development plan is created, focusing on specific needs and goals identified by your school. Leadership teams develop a culture of collaboration and dedication to continuous improvement for all students.

With Intensive School Reform, you get:
- One dedicated HOPE Faculty Facilitator who works with the School Leadership Team to determine the common purpose, how to analyze data concerning student achievement, how to set an attainable goal for improvement, how to determine strategies for reaching the goal, then how to implement, evaluate, and start the cycle again until the goal is reached
- Eight on-site visits during an academic year
With Intensive School Reform, your team can:
- Identify what professional learning community processes are successfully working in the school already
- Build additional research-based supports to strengthen collaboration focused on student achievement
- Analyze disaggregated data to address learning needs of the students
- Move systematically to meet the needs of groups of students who are not meeting benchmarks
- Efficiently focus on school improvement initiatives through the Six Principles of Failure Is Not an Option® system framework
- Increase and sustain student achievement
- Create a culture of trust, mutual accountability and continuous improvement
